Goblins and Ghosts and Witches…Oh My!!

I’m afraid of goblins
I once was a ghost
Glenda the Good Witch
Is better than most

Trick or Treat for Unicef
We did it as kids
Carrying coins in orange boxes
Holding tightly to the lids

Our costumes were creative
We got way too much candy
My gypsy turned ballerina
Was really quite dandy

So this Halloween as we waited to see
Children in costumes giggling with glee
5:00, 6:00, 7:00 passed
Two little children, finally, at last

We ran to the door to make a big fuss
Ready to give treats…M&M’s were a must
We rounded the corner and there they both stood
Dracula and a Princess they really looked good

We ended up having a total of five
Three more than last year
I still feel deprived
So now we have candy in two bowls not one
What were we thinking our street’s just no fun!
