The kids are here...
I took this week off (spring break) and I am really enjoying this time. Yesterday we took Lola and Henry to Gymboree. That was an experience...watching little ones play and communicate with each other is hysterical. There were those that were shy, those that were loud, and then those that were wild. The instructor was great as she sang and danced and acted like she was in the jungle. When it was almost time to go, Lola tripped and then cried out in pain...ut oh...we got some ice and wondered if she broke her foot again. She limped on the foot for a while and then fell asleep on the way home. We stopped at the park in Cocoa Village and she didn't want to play and complained that her foot hurt...hmmm...better take her serious so off we went to the Emergency Care where she got an x-ray and an exam. The doctor called her "angel bear" as he had her walk across the room and touched and prodded on her foot. He told her that she did not brake it and that he thought everything looked o.k. She then asked the doctor if she could see the x-ray. He looked at us with this surprised expression and then smiled and said, "o.k. come with me." So off we went to the back room where he lit up her x-ray and proceeded to explain all of the bones in her foot. She looked on intensly and nodded and agreed as he spoke. Then she said, "I have rocks on the bottom of my foot." He said, "Yes, those bones do look like rocks." She then said, "that's the problem." The doctor was amazed that a 4 year old was so interested in an x-ray. He didn't know her story and how many times she's been to a doctor and has seen her MRI's and knows what her brain looks like. I know he will never forget the cute little 4 year old who asked to see her x-ray.
The innocence and curiousity of children...when you reflect and remember and enjoy and watch...not only will it make you smile...I guarantee it will make you have a Wonderful Wednesday!
We are sooooo excited about seeing everyone at Uno Chicago Grill tonight! I told Lola that everyone from Pops' work was going to be there...she thinks she is going to his work. I explained that it's at a restaurant...she likes that!!!
Thank you all and Uno Chicago Grill for a Wonderful Wednesday and I know we are going to make a difference!!!
